Data Analyst of four years following a lifetime of art and humanities. Adept abstract thinker, creative problem solver, and academic writer with proficienies in Python, SQL, VBA, Excel, JavaScript, and MongoDB thanks to education in both technical and liberal arts. As a person with an artistic background, I am very drawn to the storytelling element of this discipline. Working in the wholesale fashion industry, I invariably present findings to non-technical audiences, and I find storytelling empowers me to do so.

Currently, I am attending the USC Viterbi School of Engineering Analytics Bootcamp, expecting to graduate in December 2018. Though self-taught in VBA, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python, my skillset expanded expontentially on being surrounded by other analyts for the first time.

Feeling Out the News Mood

Calls for the 100 most recent tweet from several news sources and performs sentiment analysis upon each of them in order to gauge the mood of the news at the moment. Each tweet is visualized individually in addition to a normalized score for each news source.
